JAMMU, Mar 29: Meeting of the Constituent General Body of Kashmiri Bhasha Evam Pratishthan Samskriti Pratishthan Samprati was held today at KP Sabha Ambphala to conduct elections of the new executive of Samprati. The meeting attended by all the members was presided over by the outgoing president Prof. P N Trichal and compered by secretary Dr Roshan Saraf.
Those present included AN Dhar, RL Shant, RL Bhat, Premi Romini, H L Misri, P.N Shad, G.K Muju, Gokul Dembi, B K Sanyasi, S K Tiku, B N Abhilash, P L Sudeshi, R L Jawhar, Pradeep Khodbaly, Rinku Koul, M K Maharaj, T N Ganjo, O N Shabnam, S N Tiku, M L Pandita, S N Veer, Vijay Wali, Santosh Nadaan, Bimla Aima, Tej Sagar, Rajinder Agosh. Presenting his report secretary Samprati reported that 25 programes had been conducted which included mushairaas, book releases and literary meets.
Advocate Kashmiri Lal Bhat, who was appointed Election Commissioner conduced the elections for the new Rxecutive of Samprati in which Dr.R.L.Bhat was elected as its new president
Dr.Roshan Saraf was elected as vice president, Kundan Paaras as secretary, Tej Saagar as treasurer, Rinku Koul as publicity secretary, Dr R L Shant and Bimla Aima were elected as executive members.
Speaking after taking over as the new president Samprati Dr R L Bhat outlined the challenges before the literary fraternity. He said that the new team was dedicated to promote Kashmiri language especially among the younger generation. He also said that Samprati would encourage new writers and promote their writing in all genres. He appealed all members to cooperate in this endeavour to take the activities of the literary fraternity to new heights. He announced that new programs shall be announced very soon.
