New Plot-Janipur Court Road becomes chaotic for commuters: Malhotra

JAMMU, Mar 3: Apni Party general secretary, Vikram Malhotra here today expressed serious concern over traffic congestion on New Plot-Janipur Court road.
Malhotra was addressing a joining programme organized by Apni Party Youth Wing provincial president Jammu, Vipul Bali at New Plot in which a prominent social activist, Abhinav Gupta along with his supporters joined Apni Party under the leadership of Vikram Malhotra.
Malhotra said that traffic jams have become a new normal in New Plot up to Court road where traffic jams remains for hours together thereby harassing the commuters.
“The locals also suffer due to the traffic jam and hence it requires immediate remedial measures like widening of the road or construction of flyover to overcome the problem,” he maintained while welcoming the new entrants into the Party.
Meanwhile, Malhotra also said that the people have expressed concern over the adverse condition of lanes and by-lanes in Ward 16, New Plot.
Expressing concern over deplorable condition of roads, lanes and drains in the Ward, he said the Jammu Municipal Corporation has not released any funds for developmental works in favour of the Councillors.
“The electricity wires can be seen hanging from the electric poles and they risk the lives of the locals passing under these poles,” he said.
