JAMMU, Jan 21: J&K Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) inaugurated its newly constructed building at Canal Road here.
CA K Raghu, president ICAI inaugurated the building in presence of CA Manoj Fadnis (vice president ICAI), CA Sat Sharma (MLA Elect) and Central Council members along with other regional council members.
CA K Raghu, in his inaugural address, congratulated the J&K Branch for achieving the milestone of having its own building for its members & CA students. He appreciated the building as one of the best in the region. He described the role of ICAI in nation building and importance of Chartered Accountants in changing global scenario.
CA Manoj Fadnis deliberated upon the various initiatives taken by ICAI at national and international arena and also applauded the J&K branch for its efforts.
CA Sat Sharma (MLA Elect) applauded the role of J&K Branch and assured all possible help in development of surrounding infrastructure.
CA Vikram Garg, Chairman J&K Branch, while welcoming the guests, said that various programs for the branch members can now be held within the premises of branch building. Even the study programs of CA students can now be undertaken conveniently.
Secretary J&K Branch of ICAI, CA Shalay Razdan, conducted the proceedings and CA Sandeep Pachnanda, vice-chairman, presented the vote of thanks.
CA Anil Sharma (treasurer), CA Dalip Kaul (Ex chairman) and CA Deepak Kapahi, member of the executive committee, along with a large number of Chartered Accountants and students participated in the inaugural ceremony.
