SAMBA, Jan 24: Vijaypur unit of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) felicitated newly appointed State president of the party, Tarsem Khullar today.
A function in this connection was organised by the local unit under the leadership of Jagdish Raj Verma at Vijaypur town. State Coordinator of the party Ch Gurnam Singh was the chief guest while senior party leader Rattan Kumar Bhagat presided over the programme.
The party activists from Vijaypur area warmly greeted the newly appointed state president of the party, Tarsem Khullar and garlanded him profusely. Mr Khullar along with other senior party leader was taken to the stage at the venue escorted by party workers and leaders. They raised slogans in praise of party and Kumari Mayawati and also extended gratitude to the State Coordinator Ch Gurnam Singh, national general secretary Narender Kashyap and Party president Kumari Mayawati for appointing Mr Khullar as new party chief in the State. They hoped that party would be strengthened under the leadership of Tarsem Khullar in J&K State.
The speakers during the meeting assured full cooperation to Mr Khullar and said that people and the party activists in particular have high hopes from the new party chief.
Ch Gurnam in his address congratulated Mr Khullar on being appointed as State president by the National president of the party. He described Mr Khullar as dedicated and hardworking and hoped that he would infuse new life in the cadre. Mr Khullar extended gratitude to the people and party workers for their love and support and assured them to come up to their expectations. Senior party leaders R L Chargotra, S N Dogra, Deepak Rana, Badri Nath, Kuldeep Raj, Satpaul, Jeet Lal and des Raj were also present.
