JAMMU, Dec 28: Annual Motivational and Appraisal function was today organized in the Department of Nephrology SSH Jammu.
Dr S.K. Bali Prof & HoD Nephrology delivered a lecture in which the services rendered by the staff and the Resident Doctors of the Department were appreciated and certificates of excellence were given to them.
On the occasion, Dr Bali informed regarding the work done by the Department including Hemodialysis – 4690, CAPD – 30, Renal Biopsy- 30, OPD – Registration – 5087 and Admission – 714 during 2016.
He thanked the other Departments like Radiology, Urology, CTVs, ICU, Pathology and Blood Bank for their contributions and thanked them for their support.
The function was attended by Dr Ghanshyam, HoD Radiology, Dr. Sunil Gupta, HoD Urology, Dr. K.K. Koul, HoD Pathology, Dr Vijay Sahani, HoD Blood Bank, Dr. Arvind Kohli and Dr Vivek Gandotra for CTVS Department, Dr Vijayant Chandel and Dr. Gurmeet Singh from Internal Medicines Department.
On the Occasion, Dr Surinder Sodhi said that there are increasing incidences of kidney disease patients in the society and there is requirement of more number of machines and trained staff. He also laid emphasis on regular screening of the individuals, who have hypertension and diabetes.
