JAMMU, Sept 9: National Engineering Industries Ltd (NEIL) Jaipur and its Jammu based automobile dealer M/s Vikas Trading Corporation organized a seminar on ‘nbc bearings’ here today.
Speaking on the occasion, Deepesh Panday, Section Manager, NIEL, told the participants that the company was established in the year 1946 by CK Birla Group. He said that NEIL is a manufacturer, supplier and exporter of bearing under the brand name ‘nbc’ and it is a part of the US 16 billion CK Birla Group.
“NEIL, one of the largest player in the domestic market in India has made a quantum leap in its manufacturing capacity from 3000 bearing in 1950 to the current capacity of 100 million bearing annually in more than 1000 sizes and the company has four manufacturing units in India at Jaipur”, he said adding that annual turnover of Newai Manisar and newly opened plant in Salvi (Vadodara) in 2014-15 was Rs 1650 cr.
Panday further informed that ‘nbc’ has won numerous industry awards and recognition in recent past and it became the first Indian bearing manufacturer to be awarded the Deming Application Awards in 2010 for total quality management.
Vikas Gupta and Riash Kapoor, proprietors of Vikas Trading Corporation, also spoke about the product of the company which proved to be very informative for the gathering.
