NDS confers Sahitya Shree award to Anu Attri, releases her book

JAMMU, July 9: Nami Dogri Sanstha Jammu, in collaboration with Qalamkaar – The Writers Group Udhampur, here today released maiden poetry book ‘Palak Bhar Khwaab’, penned by Anu Attri of Udhampur. On the occasion, Anu Attri was also conferred with Sahitya Shree award.
The book release function was presided over by S Prit Pal Singh Betab while former Dy CM Kavinder Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion. Rohit Choudhary, National President, Kissan Welfare Organisation and RTI activist and Sachin Sharma, CEO Om Palace, were the guests of honour. Sohail Kazmi, eminent Journalist and Ajay Sharma, SDPO Akhnoor, were the special invitees. KAS officer Shivani was the special guest.
Capt Lalit Sharma, Convener NDS, in his opening address, threw light on the poetry of Anu Attri while Dr Chanchal Sharma, Organising Secretary NDS, read a detailed paper on life and book of Anu Attri.
Rohit Choudhary appreciated NDS for providing the platform to the young poetess to cross the threshhold to reach the world of literature. Sachin Sharma appreciated the poetic contents of the book and said that there are lot of expectations from this writer.
Kavinder Gupta complimented NDS for exploring the literary and artistic talent in the promising youth and providing them a platform to exhibit their talent. He said fine arts and poetry channelise the youth energy towards positive pursuits. He called upon J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages to take lead in this regard.
S Prit Pal Singh Betab, while bestowing his blessings on the young poetess, said that she has the talent and people have lot of expectations from her in future for better literary endeavours. He said a poet with his literary endeavours serves the society in his own way. He advised the young poetess to understand the significance of each word and their placement which have the power to set rhythm and meaning of the poem. He congratulated NDS for encouraging young writer to exhibit her talent to the literary world.
Yash Pal Yash, General Secretary NDS, conducted the proceedings and extended vote of thanks. Advocate Dogra Harish Kaila, President NDS, co-shared the dais. He reiterated the resolve of NDS to work tirelessly and continuously for the cause of Dogri language and Dogra culture.
