JAMMU, Sept 6: Nami Dogri Sanstha Jammu conducted online multi-lingual poetic meet which was presided over by Prof Kalpana Gupta Rattan, a Hindi poetess.
Capt Lalit Sharma Convener NDS coordinated the literary meet whereas Advocate Harish Kaila supervised the proceedings. Yash Pal Yash General Secretary NDS compered the programme.
The poetry was received on NDS WhatsApp Group by way of videos, audios and manuscripts.
Each poetic item was critically examined and commented upon both by Yash Pal Yash and Capt Lalit Sharma.
The participants also offered their views on one and another’s poetry. Capt Lalit Sharma Convener NDS in his concluding remarks said that inclusion of Dogri as official language of JKUT is a proud and historical moment for Dogras.
Prof Kalpana Gupta Rattan in her presidential address described the meet a vibrant, successful and remarkable event. She reiterated that writers will keep performing their role to aware and empower the society with their creative writing.
