NDPI demands relief package, restoration of 4G internet services

JAMMU, Apr 30: J&K President of National Democratic Party Indian (NDPI), Rajesh Gupta has expressed shock over the reply through an affidavit to the Supreme Court by Principal Secretary Home of J&K government regarding 4G internet services.
He claimed that J&K government has stated in the apex court that ‘Right to access internet is not a fundamental right’.
Gupta said, even after becoming a Union Territory the government is discriminating with Jammu.
The NDPI leader claimed that in a significant ruling, the Supreme Court on January 10, 2020 had said that access to the Internet is a fundamental right under Article 19 of the Constitution.
