NDPI chief stages dharna for restoration of 4G services

JAMMU, Apr 7: National Democratic Party Indian (NDPI), J&K UT, president, Rajesh Gupta today staged a protest dharna for one hour from 11.30 am to 12.30 pm on the road in front of party office, New Rehari, Jammu to wake up the administration from slumber to restore the 4G internet services in peaceful Jammu region.
Gupta demanded immediate restoration of the mobile internet services that remained suspended across the Jammu region since August. While addressing the media, Gupta said Government can’t give collective punishment to society for the sins of a handful of offenders. “If there are apprehensions of misuse of internet services by miscreants, that doesn’t mean that, the entire system should be made to suffer,” he added.
The NDPI president appealed the people of Jammu to show their unity by coming on your roof tops today and tomorrow at 6 pm and beat thalis to make realize to administration that Jammu is one and will not tolerate discrimination any more.
Emphasizing the need to immediately start 4G internet services in J&K, the NDPI chief said, “With limited and restricted access to the internet by allowing only 2G speed in the UT, patients and doctors are unable to access latest information, advisories, and guidelines”. He termed 4G internet as an indispensable tool in the fight against COVID-19.
Gupta threatened to intensify the agitation if the 4G internet services are not restored immediately.
