NEW DELHI: National Commission for Women Chairperson Rekha Sharma on Monday expressed sharp disappointment with the justice meted out in the Kathua rape and murder case in Jammu.
Reacting to the life imprisonment to mastermind Sanji Ram and two others in the infamous Kathua gangrape case and five years imprisonment to three others for the rape and murder of an eight-year in Rasana village in Kathua district of Jammu, she told reporters that she expecting capital punishment for Kathua rape and murder criminals.
She urged the Jammu and Kashmir Government to go in appeal of District and Sessions Court, Pathankot’s verdict to the higher court. (AGENCIES)
