NEW DELHI: Former President Pranab Mukherjee has said education of children in values is the most important step to ensure that the future generation of the country becomes model citizens.
Mr Mukherjee, who was the Chief Guest at the Foundation Day event of the Foundation for Restoration of National Values (FRNV) held here at Metro Bhawan, said, ”This education has to start at home and in schools”.
Addressing the gathering at the event, Mr Mukherjee said,”I am extremely happy that the FRNV has embarked on preparing manuals for training of teachers in Value Education and they propose to get these accepted by State Governments.”
”This is a very noble task and I hope the Government of India and the State Governments accept and implement these courses on Value Education,” he further added. (AGENCIES)
