JAMMU, Jan 9: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) today demanded the State Government to immediately issue joining orders to warden candidates, who have been sitting on hunger strike for last 40 days.
The demand was raised by former Minister and president, NCP, Thakur Randhir Singh, while chairing a meeting of senior office bearers of Nationalist Youth Congress (NYC), the youth wing of NCP.
The meeting was called by Singh to discuss various issues of the State including social, political and developmental ones.
“It is a serious issue. It shows the negligent attitude of the State Government towards youth of the State”, said Singh and regretted that though the interviews for the posts of Jail Wardens in Prison Department were conducted in September 2010, yet even after the lapse of more than three years, the State Government did not issue the final selection list.
NCP chief urged the Chief Minister and DGP to take the issue of warden candidates seriously and issue final orders in their favour.
