NCP chief flays NC, PDP for opposing Div status to Ladakh

JAMMU, Feb 12: Former Minister and NCP state chief, Thakur Randhir Singh today strongly criticized National Conference and PDP for opposing grant of divisional status to Ladakh and said that these parties stand exposed for its double standards.
While appreciating the decision of Governor, Satya Pal Malik, the veteran Dogra politician Thakur Singh said they both are now demanding same status for Chenab belt and Pir Panchal. Where were they during last 70 years. The Jammu people have widely welcomed the decision of the Governor for providing much awaited justice to the Ladakhis.
He condemned top NC and PDP leadership for opposing the decision and playing cheap politics by exploiting sentiments of people from Kargil and adding fuel to the fire to disturb peace in the State. He said these two parties have caused much damage to the State than anybody else for their vested interests.
