NAGPUR, May 25: The relevance of National Cadet Corps (NCC) would grow in the coming years as an organisation that prepares good citizens and also a talent pool for the Armed forces, a top Army officer has said.
“The aim of NCC is to develop character, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular values amongst the cadets. We should never lose the sight of our aim,” Lt Gen Aniruddha Chakravarty, Director General of NCC, said.
He was speaking at a gathering here two days ago.
Chakravarty visited Officers Training Academy (OTA), NCC at Kamptee and also the NCC Group Headquarters during his stay in the city on May 22 and 23.
The General took a stock of NCC training activities in Nagpur and also interacted with the cadets and staff.
“While inculcating the spirit of adventure we should also be imbibing the ideals of selfless service amongst the youth of the country.
“The relevance of NCC would grow in the coming years as an organisation that prepares good citizens and also a talent pool for the Armed forces,” a defence release quoted Chakravarty as saying during the interaction. (PTI)
