SRINAGAR, Nov 27: Senior National Conference (NC) leader, Dr Mustafa Kamaal today said NC will continue to strive for amicable and honourable resolution of the Kashmir problem which is a festering wound of partition of the Indian sub continent embittering relations between India and Pakistan with J&K caught between the two.
He also impressed upon the people not to pay heed to Mufti Sayeed, Gulam Hussan Mir and others like them because it is they who brought miseries to the people since 1989. They are responsible for the saga of death and destruction and AFSPA and the task force. He asked the people to brave the odds and defeat them.
Addressing election rallies at Baba Khahepora, Wagil, Kralpora, Serew, Goiwa, Warpora, Dangarpora, Dandora and Schooch, he said that NC has a glorious history of selfless and dedicated service and sacrifice for dignity, honour and welfare of the people for which it has gone through thick and thin in the 84 years it has been in existence since 1931.
He reminded the people that it was NC which made them masters of the land after centuries of slavery and saw to it that they live an honourable and dignified life in a free society with Article 370 which protects their land and property from purchase by outsiders in the State and ensures that jobs within J&K are reserved on for State subjects.
He cautioned them that PDP and DPN are playing in the hands of the BJP which has a declared agenda of doing away with Article 370 so that the people are divested of their lands which provides substances to 70% of our population.
