NC to contest alone in next election: Aslam Wani

LEH, Sept 21: Dropping hint at going alone in next election, Provincial President of National Conference for Kashmir,Nasir Aslam Wani today said that alliance in the past was formed out of compulsion and this time NC will form the Government by itself and there is no question of compromising on Leh and Nobra seats in the coming election.
Addressing the party workers during party convention in Leh today Nasir said that NC has given special attention to Leh and Kargil district and sanctioned number of projects in Leh including Golf Course, Food Craft Institute etc but credited taken by others. Talking on Article 35A Nasir said that Article safeguards the interest of J&K State and if Supreme Court scraps it, that will be black spot in the J&K.
Referring to GST, he added that why multiple taxes being collected after GST. He said that now people see hope in Omar Abdullah Government and in the next election NC will win with majority and added that one shouldn’t go with the wrong myth of NC forming alliance.
Earlier, NC general secretary Tsering Angchok welcoming the guests urged the party workers to share their grievances with Nasir.
Sharing their grievances NC youth president Tsewang Dorjay said that inspite of fighting Council Election in short span of time, NC managed to win two seats which shows people of Ladakh have faith in NC. Another worker Asgar Ali asked why NC took long to revive NC in Leh and urged the party leaders to involve Ladakhis in decision making at State level to infuse trust in people. Haji Riyaz Ahmed said that Ladakhi is facing with number of problems including GST, multiple taxes, Connectivity etc. Women Wing president Advocate Diskit Angmo, Nobra Block member Tsering Motup and many other also shared their views.
Meanwhile, NC District president Sonam Wangdus skipped the important party meeting.
Former Minister Tsetan Namgyal, Councilors and other NC workers also attended the function.
