He said the PDP and NC have a secret pact for power-sharing and both parties shield each other’s wrongdoings. “What stops Mehbooba Mufti from taking action against those involved in over 3000 deaths of infants in G B Pant Hospital?” Vakil asked.
He said the embezzlements and sub-standard material used in the construction of various municipal and other buildings have not been probed by the PDP Government. “These both parties have a secret pact for corruption and looting Kashmir. They will never wish that Kashmir issue gets solved as it is against their interests,” he said.
Vakil further said the ruling dispensation has subjugated common and poor sections of the society to severe miseries due to rampant corruption, further compounded by the negligent approach of the Government towards the weaker sections of the society.
“Eid is approaching nearer. The Anganwadi workers have been left on roads for salaries. The SSA teachers and other daily wagers are without salaries for six months. How will these people celebrate Eid when they are not given their money on time?” Vakil asked.
Vakil said the present Government exists only on papers as the Government remains completely clueless and utterly insensitive to the hardships faced by the people. He said the four years of this Government can be rightly described as “total anarchy, failure and rampant corruption”.
The Government has proved as a non-performing liability on the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The tenure of this regime is total failure wherein governance-deficit increasing with every passing day, Vakil added.
