JAMMU, Nov 9: Having reconciled to oppose the developments of 2019 wherein Article 370 was abrogated, both National Conference (NC) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) are now ready to contest District Development Council (DDC) polls in J&K UT. Those who were averse to Union Government’s decision and against unfurling tricolor have finally accepted changes that were done in the larger interest of India.
This was stated by BJP J&K Executive Member, Raman Suri, who further added that those who were talking of China’s support in reversing Indian Parliament’s decision or were not accepting Indian flag but continuing to hold erstwhile State’s flag, are now finalizing the list of candidates for DDC polls. This, he added, establishes their acceptance of the new changes and race for grabbing power.
Suri advised young boys and girls of the UT to not fall prey to the rhetoric of these leaders who instigate youth to look towards China and Pakistan and exploit their sentiments merely to grab power.
He said, more and more youth must participate in democratic process and become partner in decision making bodies.
He also said that these leaders, who have joined hands and formed an alliance, have just one agenda that is to oppose BJP, for they know that their political survival is at stake.
“Unable to face people of Kashmir, whom they have been lying with since years, these leaders stayed mum on their Chinese as well as flag remarks in Jammu and even announced from here that they will participate in elections,” Suri maintained adding that people of both Kashmir and Jammu must see their tactics and reject them for they are continuing to do divisive politics till this day.
