JAMMU, Apr 1: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Minority Cell today exhorted migrant voters’ in Jammu and across the country to raise voice against anti-migrant policies of the PDP-BJP dispensation, saying that the promises made, especially with the youth, have not been kept.
Addressing a series of election meetings, Chairman of the Minority Cell Bushan Lal Bhat and president M K Yogi said that the coalition has miserably failed on all the fronts and its approach towards migrants has been casual.
M KYogi referred to the Prime Minister’s Employment Package and asked as to what progress had been made during the past over two years. “The migrant unemployed educated youth are made to run helter-skelter but nothing is being done for them except making hollow promises”, he said, adding that the N C led government had accorded top priority to recruitment as a result of which nearly 3000 youth got employed.
Both Bhat and Yogi, along with other leaders made a passionate appeal to migrant voters to ensure victory of Dr Farooq Abdullah with a huge margin in the upcoming by-polls for Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency. They also sought vote and support for Ghulam Ahmed Mir from Anantnag constituency.
Others who spoke on the occasion included Jatin Bhat, Rattan Lal Malla, Dr. Amina Sheikh, Balaji, Amit etc.
