NC Minority Cell delegation meets RC

JAMMU, Oct 3: A delegation of N C Minority Cell led by its working president, M K Yogi called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, R K Pandita here today and apprised him of various problems being faced by the displaced people from Valley.
The meeting expressed concern over delay in the decision regarding enhancement of cash relief and highlighted the plight of relief holders sitting on dharna at Jagti and in front of RC’s Office
The other issues discussed included implementation of employment package as any delay in it will mean denial of employment to displaced youth who are already at the verge of over age while hundreds have crossed the upper age limit and are in a State of total desperation.
The delegation also expressed grave concern over the Government’s reported move to deprive those families whose one member has been provided Government job under PM’s package of relief benefits and demanded that the same be revoked immediately. It was demanded that the person who has been provided the Government job be deleted from ration card and rest family be given the relief benefit.
Earlier the Cell held a meeting in which all these demands were also discussed threadbare. Those who attended the meeting included ex MLC B L Bhat, Pinky Bhat, Karan Choudhary, Balkrishan Bhat, Roshan Lal, M L Labroo, Bansi Lal, Mohinder Singh, Mr Parray and Bansi Lal Pandita.
