JAMMU, Mar 7: Senior leaders and Ex-Legislators of National Conference have extended their support to the people of Nowshera, Kalakote and Sunderbani, who are agitating for new district and Additional Deputy Commissioner posts.
In a joint statement, Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, former Minister, Mushtaq Ahmed Bukhari, former Minister, Rash Pal, Ex-MLA, Kashmir Singh, Ex-MLC, Ram Pal former Minister, Brij Mohan Sharma, Ex-MLC, Dr Chaman Lal, Ex-MLA, Qazi Jalal Din, Ex-MLA and Noor Hussain, Ex-MLC said that PDP-BJP Coalition Government has created an atmosphere of mis-trust and alienation and has also failed to fulfill the genuine aspirations of the people of the State especially Nowshera, Kalakote and Sunderbani.
Keeping in view backwardness of the common people of Nowshera, Sunderbani and Kalakote, the Government should meet their genuine and just demand of Additional Deputy Commissioner posts in their areas, they said, adding that NC President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Provincial President Devender Singh Rana also met Governor and people of these agitating areas in this regard.
They demanded new district for the people of Nowshera, Sunderbani and Kalakote at a centre place by taking agitating people into confidence.
