NC leader visits Shahpur Dheewan, takes stock of local issues

JAMMU, Oct 4: National Conference leader, Choudhary Liaqat Ali today chaired a public meeting at Shahpur Dheewan in Rajouri district and took stock of the grievances of the people.
During the meeting, Choudhary Liaqat Ali interacted with the people, who apprised the leader of the problems being faced by them. The people complained that they do not get ration in their village and they have to travel to village Samote to bring ration. They also complained that there is no transport facility and demanded the NC leader to ensure that at least one public vehicle should come up to their village.
The local people also raised the issue of power and drinking water supply. They further demanded the NC leader to ensure early compensation of land for those, whose land was occupied by the Government for construction of a road there under PMGSY.
Choudhary Liaqat Ali assured the local populace of early resolution of their problems and appealed them to strengthen the National Conference.
On the occasion, a large number of people joined the NC in the presence of Choudhary Liaqat Ali.
