BANIHAL, July 7: National Conference (NC) Ramban District president, Sajjad Shaheen today toured village Mahu, Khari and took stock of the situation in view of the COVID-19 lockdown.
During the tour, locals apprised Shaheen about lack of healthcare facilities and erratic power supply and scarcity of drinking water in many remote villages of Khari.
Shaheen urged upon the authorities to chalk out a comprehensive package plan for rehabilitation of labourers and small traders who migrate to other states to earn their livelihood and have been badly affected due to continuous lockdown.
On construction of Seeran-Sarachi road, the NC leader urged upon R&B Department to speed up the construction work.
He also demanded construction of a link road from Adimarg to Mangit.
Shaheen also appealed to J&K administration to intensify COVID-19 testing in Ramban.
