BANIHAL, July 5: National Conference (NC) district Ramban President, Sajjad Shaheen urged the Governor, N.N Vohra to exercise his powers and dissolve State Assembly to pave way for fresh elections in the State.
Addressing party workers during a daylong monthly meeting of Banihal block today, Shaheen alleged that PDP was facilitating RSS rule in Jammu and Kashmir during the last four years.
He expressed apprehension that BJP led Government at the Centre is conspiring to trample the special identity of the State.
Shaheen asked his party workers to start preparations for next Assembly elections and strengthen the party at grassroots level.
On this occasion many political workers from Congress and PDP joined NC.
NC senior District Vice President, Mirwaiz Atta Mohd Katoch; District Vice Presidents, Mohd Afzal Wani, Saif-ud-Din Dar, Haji G.M Beigh and others also spoke in the meeting.
