JAMMU, July 5: Municipal and Urban Local Bodies Pensioners’ Association (MULBPA), Jammu province today demanded disbursement of 7th Pay Commission benefits to pensioners of civic body of the State.
In a meeting of the association convened today under the chairmanship of BS Jamwal (Advocate), the association members discussed the issue of non-disbursement of 7th PC benefits to pensioners of Municipal and Urban Local Bodies by Incharge, Government Business Department, J&K Bank Limited, Head Quarter, Srinagar, till date despite making several written requests to them.
The association members said that the J&K Bank is adamant to get concurrence from Director, Local Fund Audit & Pensions, Srinagar but she has not responded the request and twisted the urgent nature issue on the shoulder of Financial Commissioner to Government Housing & Urban Development Department, J&K Government (Srinagar) to issue necessary orders for the implementation of 7th PC and also to convey J&K Bank.
The meeting informed the members that a deputation of the Association on July 3 met Examiner/CAO local Fund Audit & pension, Jammu and gave an ultimatum to her to issue the orders to implement 7th PC within 10 days.
