JAMMU, May 28: Police today registered a case against ex-Corporator and National Conference (NC) leader Rashida Begum for misbehaving and threatening Deputy Commissioner (DC) Jammu Ajeet Kumar Sahu.
As per police sources, a written complaint was received today from Sahu that on May 26, Rashida Begum had misbehaved with him in his office over the issue of state subject.
In the complaint, DC Jammu also stated that the NC leader threatened to get him transferred and block the road against him if he did not do the needful in her favour.
Accordingly a case under FIR number 40/14 under Sections 353 and 506 RPC has been registered against Rashida Begum at Gujjar Nagar police station by the SHO Inspector MA Giri.
Police conducted searches to nab Rashida Begum but she had gone underground.
