JAMMU, July 13: Reacting sharply to inflammatory statement of National Conference (NC) president, Dr.Farooq Abdullah regarding terrorism in Kashmir, former MLC and JK UT spokesperson of BJP, Girdhari Lal Raina termed NC and Gupkar Alliance as greatest hurdle in fight against terrorism.
In a statement issued here, today he said “Instead of educating youngsters about futility of violence and terrorism, these self-centered, power hungry and pursuers of dynastic politics are instigating people by their inciting statements., NC has been in power in Jammu Kashmir for long enough period exclusively or in alliance with other political parties to have practised what they preach when voted out of power. They never explain reasons behind their failure to win the hearts of the people in the Valley”, GL Raina added.
NC and its president must also enlighten countrymen about result of umpteen round of talks held between India and Pakistan that began soon after partition, BJP spokesperson said.
EX-MLC asserted that Pakistan, a failed State on brink of disintegration is surviving on hate India sentiment and use of terrorism as a foreign policy component and mere conversing for the sake of talking is no more than chatting yielding no substantial outcomes. Dr.Farooq Abdullah and his party along with alliance partners must use their influence to persuade Pakistan a rogue nation not to push terrorists into India, GL Raina suggested.
NC and political leaders of Jammu Kashmir must act responsibly, assist era of progress and development ushered by Narendra Modi led Government to reach people on ground and help achieve peace and harmony, GL Raina said.
