NC demands rehabilitation of land mine victims

POONCH, Jan 14: A team of National Conference (NC) leaders led by YNC provincial president, Ajaz Jan today visited LoC areas of Poonch.
Jan was accompanied by NC district president, Bagh Hussain Rathore; YNC provincial vice president, Gourav Kapoor and other NC leaders.
NC leaders visited Khari Karmara village at LoC in Poonch and met locals who put forth grievances faced by them in their day-to-day life.
The main issue raised by them was that of poor mobile communication in the area and NC leaders demanded installation of new mobile towers there to ensure that border people face no hardships in communication.
They said that rehabilitation of land mine victims is still a distant dream for the people living at LoC who frequently fall victim to the deadly mines spread along the dividing line but the Government has not provided any relief to the land mine victims.
The NC leaders also demanded special recruitment drive for people living at border and LoC in armed force.
