JAMMU, Feb 6: National Conference, Congress, NSUI and other organizations strongly condemned the decision of the J&K UT Administration with regard to withdrawal of posts from JKPSC and SSB recommended to these recruiting agencies before October 2019.
The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Member Parliament, Justice (Retd) Hasnain Masoodi expressed discontent over the withdrawing of vacancies referred to J&K Public Service Commission and (JKPSC) J&K Service Selection Board (JKSSB) for recruitment before October 31, 2019, saying the circular has dashed the job hopes of thousands of youth across Jammu and Kashmir.
Far from coming up with a bail out for the educated and unemployed youth of Jammu and Kashmir, Masoodi said, the government was making unrestrained assaults on the future of the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
Expressing grave concern over the circular withdrawing the vacancies referred to JKSSB and JKPSC before 31 October 2019, Masoodi said the circular aims to smoothen the path for non-domiciles to apply for government jobs in J&K. “At a time when the unemployment rate is causing a swell of discontent in our educated and skilled youth in the face of disengagements of employees, mergers of government departments and snail’s pace recruitments resulting in the resulting in the figuring of J&K among the States facing the highest unemployment rates- the circular of withdrawing the already advertised posts has further pushed our youth into the quicksand of misfortunes and hardships,” he said adding the circular should not be seen in isolation but part of concerted efforts to disenfranchise and deprive youth from employment opportunities.
Seeking a roll back in the decision, Masoodi contended, “This decision has made the government’s promise on job creation ring hollow.”
National Students Union of India J&K, president Sunny Parihar while talking to media-persons, condemn the decision of the UT administration for withdrawing the posts referred to JKPSC & JKSSB prior to 31-10-2019.
Parihar strongly condemned and expressed against the arbitrary and illegal withdrawal of posts referred to JKPSC and JKSSB. He slammed BJP for exploiting and harassing youth and warned the administration not to play with the career of the youth of Jammu Kashmir. It is pertinent to mention here that there is already dearth of job opportunities for the youth of J&K. It is quite shocking that this blunder would create further chaos among the youth as they will be deprived of their legitimate right of employment. He described this move as unconstitutional, improper, inappropriate on the part of UT Administration.
He further warned the UT Administration to immediately withdraw the illegal and arbitrary order within 10 days and fill up all the vacant posts for which the youth is striving hard.
Senior Congress leader Sumeet Magotra criticized J&K UT Government for a recent order with regard to withdrawal of posts from recruiting agencies.
While interacting with media persons Magotra has disclosed that in May 2015 selection process of many posts was completed including written and interview even the process of verification and thousands of successful candidates are waiting for their selection lists. Magotra said it is unfortunate that after six years a dictatorial order has issued by J&K UT Government for cancellation of these posts, This is grave injustice with thousands of unemployed youth.
Congress leader further said that it has also come to know that some complete selection lists are under the consideration of Courts due to some reasons and have also been cancelled by government in a dictatorial manner. He said that under fresh notification of the mentioned posts, anyone from outside States can also participate in selection. He warned the government that if these type of anti youth orders were not stopped, then Congress will lead the frustrated youth force.
Meanwhile, social activist from Baramulla, Nighat Mir today expressed resentment over the Jammu and Kashmir Government’s decision to withdraw all the posts advertised by prime recruiting agencies JKSSB and JKPSC before October, 2019.
In a statement she said when the soaring unemployment rate is causing a swell of discontent in our educated and skilled youth in the face of disengagements of employees, mergers of government departments and snails pace recruitments resulting in the region’s figuring among the States facing the highest unemployment rates; the unfortunate move of withdrawing the already advertised posts has further dashed the hopes of hundreds of job aspirants.
“The aspirants who had applied for these posts are dumb found. Their hopes have been dashed. More so, years of preparation has also gone down the drain. Most of these aspirants have crossed their age limit. Who is now going to pay for the loss of their time, efforts and money? Such reckless and irrational decisions raise a question mark on the seriousness of the administration to create job opportunities for our youth,” she said.
National Democratic Front (NDP) has also strongly condemned the decision of the UT Administration on withdrawal of posts. In a joint press statement its executive members, RK Khajuria, JG Sharma and N K Attri said that this decision has been taken without applying mind by the people at the helm of affairs. They have tried to play with the career of the educated unemployed youth of J&K. The LG must intervene into the matter without any more delay.
