JAMMU, Feb 16: Exhorting cadre to gear up for the big challenge faced to Jammu and Kashmir and to work for further strengthening the National Conference at every level, Party president Dr Farooq Abdullah today said that NC is committed to assuage the sufferings of every segment of the society in all the regions and sub-regions.
Interacting with various delegations and welcoming new entrants into the party at a brief function here, Dr Farooq Abdullah said that the NC is deeply rooted in every nook and corner, and the cadre must reach out to the people and help them in redressal of their problems.
Dr Farooq said the NC is a mass movement which has been devoted to the service of the people of J&K for decades. He said the Party is a natural destination for all those public spirited political workers who want to steer the UT to peace, progress and development.
Provincial president Rattan Lal Gupta, Sheikh Bashir Ahmed (Provincial secretary), Khalid Najeeb Suharwardy (vice president), Deepinder Kour (ex-MLC), Swaran Lata (ex-MLA), Ajaz Jan (Provincial president YNC), Tanveer Ahmed Kichloo (District president Kishtwar) and Sajjad Shaheen (District president Ramban) were also present on the occasion and discussed the organizational issues.
The delegations which called on Dr Farooq Abdullah included Sunil Verma District president Udhampur along with other office bearers, Naresh Bittu District president Jammu Rural B along with office bearers, Sudagar Chand Gupta District president Samba along with Block presidents and Youth leaders headed by Sandeep Singh Central Zone president YNC, Tejinder Singh (District president Jammu YNC).The delegations discussed the organizational affairs with the Party president.
Those who joined the Party included Ajay Sharma Sarpanch, Rajneesh Sharma Panch, Kuldeep Kumar Naib Sarpanch and Mohd Iqbal from Udhampur.
