230 COVID cases in J&K, 58 in Ladakh

JAMMU/SRINAGAR /LEH, Feb 16: Jammu and Kashmir today reported 230 fresh COVID positive cases while the Union Territory of Ladakh recorded 58 positives. In both the UTs, no COVID casualties were reported.
Jammu division registered 126 new cases and Kashmir division accounted for 104.
Fifty four cases were reported from Jammu district, 39 Doda, nine each in Poonch and Ramban, eight Udhampur, three each in Rajouri and Kathua and one in Kishtwar district.
Samba and Reasi districts didn’t report any cases.
Daily recoveries today stood at 356 leaving number of active positive cases to 1621 in Jammu division.
The Union Territory of Ladakh recorded 58 COVID positive cases including 43 in Leh district and 15 in Kargil.
Ladakh now has 523 active positive cases—404 in Leh and 119 in Kargil district.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 104 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Those who tested positive include 50 from Srinagar, 8 from Baramulla, 14 from Budgam, 3 from Pulwama, 18 from Kupwara, 3 from Anantnag, 5 from Bandipora, 2 from Ganderbal and 1 from Shopian.
With the fresh cases, the number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 286,582 including 282,098 recoveries and 2,422 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 3,683 including 2,062 from Kashmir division.
With 827 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 443,132 which is 98.13 percent of the total cases.
