Nawaz’s health better: Medical Board

Islamabad, Feb 12: The Special Medical Board (SMB) set up by Punjab province’s government has stated that former Prime Minister and PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif’s health is improving fast as his vital heart arteries are functioning well and does not need medical care, Dawn reported on Saturday.
The board is of the opinion that Mr Sharif’s two vital arteries coronary and left anterior descending (LAD) are functioning well, while his third circumflex artery is blocked but not life-threatening, a source told Dawn.
The specialists on the medical board have seen the fresh medical reports of Nawaz Sharif and are of the opinion that there is nothing new in the reports as they are the same which are already available.
Nawaz Sharif on been medicines is doing well for the past two years and will not be going for any interventional procedure anytime soon, the source said.
However, it is also claimed that Nawaz Sharif’s return and him being consequently sent to prison in the solitary confinement may lead to heart complications.
Nawaz Sharif is in the United Kingdom since November 2019, when he was undergoing medical tests and was reportedly advised to undergo a fresh cardiac procedure. (UNI)
