National seminar on ‘Vedmulaka Akhayanopakhayan Tatha Sampritka Samaja’ concludes at JU

JAMMU, Feb 23: Three days national seminar on “Vedmulaka Akhayanopakhayan Tatha Sampritka Samaja” organised by Department of Sanskrit, University of Jammu in collaboration with Maharishi Sandipani Rashtriya Ved Vidya Pratisthana, Ujjain, MP concluded today.
Around 15 research papers were presented by the scholars from different places of India and various educational institutions of Jammu.
The scholars who participated in the seminar were Dr Jagdish Raj Sharma from Jammu, Dr Vijeyndra, Neetu Bala, Shalu Sharma, Dr Ram Bahadur, Prof Sushma Devi, Prof Ramnika Jalali, Kamini Sharma, Hem Lata, Lalit Kumar, Dr Rajesh Sharma, Anju Bala and Jyoti Bala Jammu, Prof Lekh Ram Sharma, Dr Dalbir Singh and Prof Renu Bala from GNDU.
Padamshree Prof Ved Kumari Ghai was the guest of honour of the session, whereas Prof Brijesh Kumar Shukla, Head, Department of Astrology, Lucknow University and Prof Lekh Ram Sharma, Prof Ameratus, GNDU Amritsar presided over the session. The session was convened by Prof Ramnika Jalali.
The valedictory function was held in the Department of Sanskrit, University of Jammu today.
Prof Maan Singh, Ex- Head and Dean, Faculty of Arts, Kurukshetra University was chief guest, while Prof Roop Kishore Shastri, Secretary Maharshi Sandipani Rashtriya Ved Vidya Pratishthan, Ujjain was the special guest. Padamshree Prof Ved Kumari Ghai was the guest of honour
Prof Vishvamurti Shastri, Ex Principal Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, Ranbir Campus, Kot Bhalwal Jammu was honoured as “Saraswat Atithi” scholars from the different parts of India were present.
Director of the seminar, Prof Sushma Devi, Head, Department of Sanskrit presented detailed report of the seminar.
The Convener Dr Ram Bahadur and other faculty members were present in the session.
Prof Ramnika Jalali, Dean Faculty of Arts, University of Jammu chaired the session. Dr Vidyadhar convened the session. Prof Ramnika Jalali threw light on various research topics presented in the seminar reforming many Vedic Akhyanas.
