National Herald case: I leave to you to judge (if it is political vendetta), says Sonia

NEW DELHI: Congress president Sonia Gandhi today declined to comment on the summons issued to her and party vice-president Rahul Gandhi  in connection with the National Herald case but said it was for the media to judge if it was a case of ‘political vendetta’.

”I leave to you to judge,” Ms Gandhi told reporters here when asked if she felt it was a case if ‘political vendetta’. Ms Gandhi and Mr Gandhi have been issued summons by the Delhi High Court on a petition filed by BJP leader Subramanian Swami. The Congress has termed the allegations by Mr Swami as baseless.

”This is nothing but political vendetta. We have seen it in a number of cases, from Virbhadra Singh during the wedding ceremony of his children to Mr Chidambaram and several other examples, AICC spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi said. (AGENCIES)
