JAMMU, Dec 17: National Dental Conference organized by Indian Dental Association (IDA), Jammu branch, concluded here today.
Giving information on the conference, Dr Rajiv Mengi, president IDA, said that today’s function included scientific deliberations from Dr Dimple Padawe on Paediatric dentistry, Dr Vishal Kabre on dental photography, Dr Aman Sachdeva on practice management in dentistry and evening session by doctors from SMVD Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Dr Sandeep Kaul on surgical oncology and Dr Tapan Sarma on head and neck oncology.
Co-chairman of the conference, Dr Gautam Sharma, disclosed that the conference was attended by more than 300 delegates. He further informed that Anil Modi and Namrata Modi from Prevest Denpro were presented with award of appreciation for manufacturing world class dental products at Jammu. The award was presented by Dr Romesh Singh, Principal, IGGDC, Jammu.
Dr Nipun Gupta informed that a scientific poster presentation was also held which was judged by Dr Rakesh Gupta and Dr Rubina Anjum in which Dr Sharda Yadav was adjudged with the best poster followed by Dr Sharad Sharma and the third position was awarded to Dr Azhar Khan and Dr Palak Mahajan.
Dr Rudra Kaul, organizing secretary said that this conference will help the dentists of our state to inculcate newer trends and procedures in their daily dental practices, hence being fruitful to the general masses.
Dr Vasit Khajuria, joint organizing secretary of the conference said that these conferences should be held regularly to add knowledge to the practitioners and students.
