National CME on ‘Scientific Paper Writing & Publication’ organized

JAMMU, Sep 27: A National CME on ‘Scientific Paper Writing and Publication’ was organized today by Jammu Menopause Society under the aegis of Indian Menopause Society (IMS).
IMS president Prof (Dr) Ambuja Choranur was the chief guest on the occasion. In her presidential address, she said that scientific writing is an art and skill, which every academician/researcher will have to acquire to publish and flourish in the scientific community.
Dr Rama Vaidya, founder president IMS, in her address, said that alternate medicine doctors should also promote evidence based Medicine and publish the same.
National secretary general of IMS and co-chief guest of the function Dr Sudhaa Sharma said that the objective of the CME is to educate and train postgraduates and residents in the field of scientific paper writing and getting their valuable original research published in peer reviewed and indexed journals of high impact factor.
Prof (Dr) Annil Mahajan was the chairperson of the event and Prof (Dr) Ashok Sharma was the co-chairperson. Dr Mahajan while moderating the panel discussion stressed that research scholars should always try to publish their research works in standard peer reviewed and indexed journal and not in predatory journals.
Prof (Dr) Vishal R Tandon was the organizing secretary of the CME. He in his lecture deliberated that how scientific publication can be improvised and published as per the requirement of the Journal.
Dr Anil Mehata, president Jammu Society of IMS and Dr Meeta Gupta, secretary, Jammu Society of IMS were the joint secretaries of the CME while Dr Meeta, Prof (Dr) Neelam Aggarwal and Prof (Dr) Ashok Sharma were the chairpersons of the scientific sessions.
More than 650 national delegates, faculty and members of Indian Menopause Society participated in the event.
