Nat Manch stages ‘Vansh’

JAMMU, July 5: Nat Manch today staged Dogri play “Vansh “in its ongoing Tuesday series at Shakti Nagar, Jammu.
The play was written by Tilak Raj Sharma and directed by Tarun Sharma.   With the Presentation of today’s play, Nat Manch has successfully staged 222 shows so far in its ongoing Tuesday Series.
The play  is  based on the  life  of  girl who  makes her  name in  the  society with  confidence and  fame. The play has tried to show that a girl can do anything in her   life that she wants.  Girls  are not  weak  but  same as  boys and they   can also  do  everything  like  boys, highlights the play.
The play starts with the   scene in which a father is shown quarrelling with his wife because   she has again given birth to a girl child. The man gets very angry and says that he wants boy for his help instead of girls.  He throws his wife along with two daughters out of the house.
However, in the end, father realizes his mistake and comes to know that girls are not less in work as compared to boy.  Girls also make feel proud of their parents.
The play was a satire on the society which gives preferences to boys instead of girls.
Shishu Pal Khajuria, versatile actor and director of Jammu & Kashmir State, who was chief guest on the occasion, highly appreciated the play and the efforts put-in by artists of Nat Manch. He said that because of Tarun Sharma the Nukkad Nataks   are still alive in the State.
The actors,   who  performed in the play, included  Rishav Salgotra, Ishan Mansotra , Riya Sharma and Priya Kashyap.
