JAMMU, Jan 30: Nasir Hamid Khan, senior vice president, Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI), today met Kewal Kumar Sharma, Advisor to Governor, and sought the re-schedulement of installment under Amnesty Scheme.
The Advisor was apprised about the need for re-schedulement of the Scheme in light of the extensions given for submitting the first installment which was December 14, 2018.
Khan requested the Advisor to give suitable gap to dealers for submission of 2nd installment in the light of the original schedule which had a gap of twelve months between each installment. “Having deposited the first installment only a month ago, a majority of dealers are not in a position to submit back to back installments because of acute financial constraints,” he added.
The KCCI senior vice-president said that the failure to re-schedule the Amnesty Scheme could result in defeating its very objective and would give rise to numerous complications.
The Advisor assured the KCCI leader that due consideration would be given to the issue highlighted by him.
