KISHTWAR, May 28: Election of Kishtwar Bar Association (KBA) was held here today at District Court Complex in which 80 per cent of KBA members cast their votes for five different posts.
The polling started at 10:30 am and ended at 1:30 pm and election was conducted by Bar Election Committee nominated by KBA comprising Advocates-Mohd Hussain Waza and Vikas Kant Sharma.
After results were announced Sheikh Nasir was elected as president; Subash Sharma, vice president; Syed Arif Hussain, general Secretary; Thakur Suman Bhandari, joint secretary and Atul Sharma, treasurer.
The newly elected president assured to make every effort to serve the lawyer fraternity and to work with coordination and in consultation with seniors for the dignity, betterment and welfare of lawyers.
