Narco smugglers held with 2.5 kg charas

JAMMU, Apr 26: Police today arrested two narcotic smugglers along with two and half kilograms of charas from Jeevan Nagar area, falling under the jurisdiction of Satwari police station.
As per police sources, a police team from Satwari police station headed by SHO Surinder Singh laid a surprise naka at Jeevan Nagar and intercepted two pedestrians.
During checking, police recovered 2.5 kilograms of charas from their possession concealed in 3 packets.
The narcotic smugglers have been identified as Mohammad Latif Khan, son of Mohammad Abdullah of Anantnag, Kashmir and Shahbaj Khan, son of Shah Nawaz Khan of Khatikan Talab.
A case under FIR number 80/14 under Section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at police station Satwari and investigations started.
