JAMMU, Jan 20: Police arrested a narcotic smuggler along with charas from Parade area, falling under the jurisdiction of Pacca Danga police station.
As per police sources, on specific information, a police team intercepted a person for checking on suspicious grounds.
During checking, police recovered 300 grams charas from the possession of the man and arrested him on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Daya Krishan, son of Brijlal, a resident of Nanak Nagar.
A case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the accused at Pacca Danga police station and investigation started.
Police team headed by SHO Pacca Danga police station Inspector Ajay Bhat along with Incharge Parade police post SI Arun Slathia made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO City Perbeet Singh Parhiar, SP City Vinod Kumar and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
