UDHAMPUR, July 7: A narco smuggler was arrested by the police team from Police Station Udhampur here today.
According to the reports, the police team led by SHO PS Udhampur inspector Raghubir Singh while performing routine naka checking at Jakhani naka point stopped one vehicle bearing registration number JK14J 8556 Toyota Innova for checking purpose.
After frisking the passengers, one person namely Mohd. Saleem, S/o Abdul Hamid of Noor Bagh, Srinagar, found in possession of approx. 13.35 grams of heroin (chitta) like contraband substance.
The above said accused person was arrested on spot.
A case vide FIR No. 319/2024 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act stands registered in P/S Udhampur and further investigation was set into probe.
