JAMMU, May 11: A one-day Health Screening Camp was conducted today by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital (SMVDNSH), Kakryal (Katra) for the officers and staff of Directorate of Agriculture, at Krishi Bhawan, Talab Tillo, Jammu.
Team of Doctors of SMVDNSH, led by renowned Orthopedic Surgeon Dr Ram Kinker Jha and Dr Ajit Kumar, Physician (Medical officer), conducted the health check up of more than 150 employees of the Directorate of Agriculture and adjoining offices. Various body profile tests like Blood Sugar, Blood Pressure, ECG, BMI etc were conducted along with general examination by the team which included para-medical staff of the hospital. Free consultation and treatment suggestions were given on spot.
On the occasion, Director Agriculture, Jammu, Dr S S Jamwal said that such camps create awareness for the day to day healthcare needs and help the employees to take appropriate remedial measures. He added that a healthy person can perform his duties more efficiently and regular health check-ups should form a permanent feature of human resource development in the institutions. He thanked the hospital administration and the team of doctors for conducting the camp which was first of its kind in this Directorate.
During interaction with the participants, Dr Jha revealed that Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital (SMVDNSH), Kakryal (Katra) is providing affordable quality health care facilities to people of this region. He said that the officers and staff who were examined on spot and registered for treatment can avail free OPD for next one year as an inaugural offer of the Superspeciality Hospital.
