REASI (BOMAG): Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Ajay Kumar Nanda today asserted that redressing public grievances is government’s first and foremost priority for which an accountable and transparent mechanism has been set up.
The Minister was speaking at a public gathering after inaugurating a platform constructed by Rural Development Department.
The locals projected their issues before the Minister and urged for early mitigation of the same.
Ajay Nanda said that the State Government has initiated various projects to improve the socio-economic conditions of the people.
Responding to the issue of buildings of local schools, the Minister said Government is striving hard to upgrade the educational infrastructure in the state for which public has to extend full support in resolving land related or other allied issues.
He assured the locals that one room each would be sanctioned for Middle Schools Lamsora and Kabi.
In response to the demand of Primary Health Center in Lamsora areas, the Minister said the matter shall be taken up with Health Minister on priority.
On tractor road from Dugga to Kabi in Lamsora No. 2, the Minister expressed his commitment to construct the same by involving some agency.
For stage second work of Lamsora road under PMGSY, the Minister said that concerned agency would be instructed to complete the pending work on war footing basis.
The Minister said that no habitation would be devoid of road connectivity, adding that development is a gradual phenomenon and not take place in single day. He also said progress made by the present government is visible on the ground.
Lift crossing facility over Chenab at Kabi which was stopped on security reasons some years back was also restarted today after personal intervention of the Minister after he took the matter with DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range. The lift plays major role in connecting Bomag area with almost 10 villages of Tehsil Arnas falling on other side of the river.
The Locals also demanded benefits of Pardhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana to whole area for which the Minister assured that all poor households would be provided LPG connections. While interacting with Gujjars and Bakerwals, the Minister assured that provision of solar lights and smoke less chullahs would be kept under the schemes especially meant for tribal population.
