JAMMU, Jan 22: Engineer PK Nanda has been conferred with Glory of India Award and Certificate of Excellence for individual excellence in recognition of sterling merit, excellent performance and outstanding contribution for the progress of the Nation in the field of Engineering and Technology.
The award was given recently by Korn Dabbaransi, former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand on the occasion of “Friendship Banquet” at Bangkok in the presence of Shameen Rajbansi, Member Parliament, South Africa, Dr Kharitan, Minister from Manipur and Dr Kodali Siva Rama Krishna Prasad, president, International Chapter.
The ‘Friendship Banquet’ organized by India International Friendship Society was attended by large number of eminent personalities, scientists and social workers from all over India.
Nanda is former Executive Engineer (Hydraulic) of J&K State and presently working as Consultant cum Manager Technical with M/s GVR Infra Projects Ltd associated with the work of construction of artificial lake project across river Tawi in Jammu.
He has been already awarded with DK Gupta Engineer of the Year Award in the year 2011 by Institution of Engineer (India) Jammu, with Bharat Jyoti Award in March 2014, Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award in September 2014 and Best Citizen of India Award 2014 by International Publishing House in November 2014 in recognition of his life time achievements in the field of Engineering and Technology.
He is also life member of Institution of Engineers, India, Indian Water Works Association, Indian Association of Hydrologist and Indian Institute of Public Administration. In addition to his work, he is also involved with the functioning of Institution of Engineers, Jammu of which he has remained as Secretary for 1999-2001 and is being awarded every year since 1995 for presenting papers of public interests.
