JAMMU, Jan 22: Following the directions issued by  Governor N N Vohra  during a high level meeting held last week in Srinagar, all the Deputy Commissioners of the Kashmir division have been directed to upload the flood relief related information on their official websites by January 24.
The districts of Kulgam, Budgam, Bandipora, Baramulla have already complied with the given directions. This was informed to the Governor in the Action Taken Report submitted to him by the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, today.
It was also informed that the process of granting the building permissions has been streamlined and, till date, the Srinagar Municipal Corporation and Lakes and Waterways Development Authority have disposed off 64% and 60% of all such eligible cases respectively. A time frame of 10 days for disposal has been fixed for strict compliance by the concerned agencies.
Arising from the complaints about the sale of spurious pesticides a High Level Committee has been constituted by Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-K to probe the incidence of scabies in the apple orchards. The Committee will submit its final report within 10 days. As regards fixing the labour rates and enforcement of the same, the Labour Commissioner, J&K, will be holding meetings with different stakeholders.
Meanwhile, the State Government has ordered that Shailendra Kumar, Commissioner Secretary, Tourism and Culture Department, will be stationed at the Winter Secretariat from January 27 to January 30 and Pawan Kotwal, Commissioner/ Secretary, PHE and I&FC Department from February 2 to 6.
