JAMMU, Aug 4: Naib Tehsildar Kulwanta in Ramnagar was caught red handed by the vigilance sleuths while demanding and accepting a bribe.
The accused, namely Virender Kumar, resident of Ward number 8, Mohalla Phalla, Ramnagar, was accepting a bribe of Rs 5000 for implementation of an order passed by Deputy Commissioner Udhampur in the land dispute case between the complainant and his sister. The accused was arrested for further legal action while investigation of the case has been taken up.
Earlier, on the complaint of Kunj Lal of Lehar Ramnagar, a case under FIR No.15/2016 u/s 5(2) of J&K P.C Act was registered at P/S VOJ. The Vigilance team, led by Dy SP Kartar Singh, laid a successful trap and caught the accused red handed.
