JAMMU, July 31: Khour police arrested a Naib Tehsildar for molesting a widow.
According to SP Rural Dushyant Sharma, a complaint was lodged by a widow hailing from Chak Malal with Police Station Khour stating that she visited the Tehsildar Office in connection with her case of appointment under SRO-43.
The complainant further said that the Naib Tehsildar identified as Hans Raj of Kot Bhalwal instead of resolving the case, molested her, SP said.
“Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 59/18 under Section 354 and 509 RPC has been registered at Khour Police Station and Naib Tehsildar has been arrested,” SP Dushyant Sharma added.
However, the people also staged protest in Tehsildar Office against the Naib Tehsildar.
