JAMMU, May 9: Police arrested a Naib Sarpanch along with fake registration number car here today.
As per police sources, a police team led by DySP West Farha Nishat laid a naka near High Court crossing and intercepted a Santro car.
During scrutiny of documents, it came to fore that the registration number plate of the vehicle was fake. The police team arrested the driver, who was identified as Manzoor Hussain, son of Mohammad Din, a resident of District Rajouri. The accused, a Naib Sarpanch, had fixed the fake registration number plate on the vehicle.
A case FIR Number 45/2022 under Sections 420, 466, 468 and 471 IPC has been registered against the arrested Naib Sarpanch at Police Station Janipur and investigation started.
